CGF Chief Executive to leave post after Glasgow Games

Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) Chief Executive, Mike Hooper, announced earlier today that he will leave is role following Glasgow 2014.

Responding to the news, Commonwealth Games Minister Shona Robison said:

“I would like to express my personal gratitude and appreciation for the support and guidance Mike Hooper has provided the Scottish Government.

“Having worked closely with the Commonwealth Games Federation for many years, Mike’s expertise and knowledge has proved invaluable to this Government and our Games partners.

“Mike and his team have made a major contribution to ensuring Scotland is ready to welcome the world for the xx Commonwealth Games. I am pleased he will be staying for the delivery of Glasgow 2014 and I wish him every success for the future as we look forward to staging the greatest Games ever.”
